Pain in the ass

Yesterday I have learned new English beautiful (colorful) expressions.

I was watching Star Trek Discovery e Michael Burnham said about Philippa Georgiou "she was a pain in the ass" and also "badass". The Italian subtitles were "rompicoglioni" and "tipa tosta". But in Italian for the first expression, we also use "un dito al culo" (a finger in the ass), for example we say "sei proprio un dito al culo" if the person is very annoying.

But this expression can also be used in an affectionate sense, like almost all Italian vulgar expression.

But, when I have told my wife about my recent discovery she was not seemed happy like me...

That is all about my progress in English profanity.

In italiano l’avrei scritto così:

Ieri ho imparato nuove bellissime (colorate) espressioni inglesi.

Stavo guardando Star Trek Discovery e Michael Burnham ha detto di Philippa Georgiou "she was a pain in the ass" e anche "badass". I sottotitoli in italiano erano "rompicoglioni" e "tipa tosta". Ma in italiano per la prima espressione, usiamo anche "un dito al culo", ad esempio diciamo "sei proprio un dito al culo" se la persona è molto fastidiosa.

Ma questa espressione può essere usata anche in senso affettuoso, come quasi tutte le espressioni volgari italiane.

Ma, quando ho raccontato a mia moglie della mia recente scoperta, non sembrava felice come me ...

Questo è tutto sui miei progressi nelle parolacce inglesi.

UPDATE

You never stop learning.

Let me explain: I saw episode five of the second season of Master of none "The dinner party".

In this episode the Francesca teaches Dev a few dirty words like "merda", "figlio di puttana", "brutto cornuto" e "li mortacci tua" and Francesca translates these expressions respectively in "shit", "son of whore", "you are ugly and your spouse is cheating on you" and "go fuck yourself and all your dead family member".

So I'm really happy if someone didn't know these fundamental expressions for living in Italy.

They can be used to comment on government action, a noisy neighbor, someone's delay... of course, you have to combine singular and plural good, it is very important in Italian.

AGGIORNAMENTO

Non si smette mai di imparare.

Mi spiego: ho visto l'episodio cinque della seconda stagione di Master of none "The dinner party".

In questo episodio Francesca insegna a Dev alcune parolacce come "merda", "figlio di puttana", "brutto cornuto" e "li mortacci tua" e Francesca traduce queste espressioni rispettivamente in "shit", "son of whore", "you are ugly and your spouse is cheating on you" e "go fuck yourself and all your dead family member".

Quindi sono davvero felice se qualcuno non conosceva queste espressioni fondamentali per vivere in Italia.

Possono essere usate per commentare l'azione di governo, un vicino rumoroso, il ritardo di qualcuno ... ovviamente, bisogna combinare bene singolare e plurale, è molto importante in italiano.
