why write such banality?


This answer could be the first question if anyone read this blog. I had a blog for 10-12 years, I closed it because I had nothing more to say.
if I have nothing to say... I can shut up!

Therefore I write banalities in English at least I learn something. Now I have a doubt: is it better to use banality or platitude? Maybe I should find myself a virtual girlfriend in an English-speaking country, oh yes, I know, it may be enough to find a simple friend, to my age I don't need to expand my vocabulary in the sectors of the courtship and amorous skirmishes.

In the last days, I watched a series tv Tales from the loop, as usual, I watched the show in English with Italian subtitles... but it is the series tv almost speechless of all time. The characters spoke very little, with long silences. Very long silences, so I  learned too little, but I liked much it, above all the landscapes inspired by the Swedish artist Simon Stålenhag.

Before this series TV, I watched Unorthodox but in this beautiful TV miniseries, the characters speak much time in Yiddish or in English with a Yiddish or German accent. Oh, yes: for me, the English with a Yiddish or German accent is easy to hear and understand!

Short memory and long memory

I have a controversial relationship with the detractors of the State of Israel. I read a lot of criticisms of so-called anti-Zionists. I agree with almost every criticism of the Israeli government, but I can not stand it when this alleged anti-Zionism simply becomes anti-Semitism. I can not stand the anti-Semitism of the Arabs, but also of the Palestinians. You can have all the reasons in the world, but I will never prove the slightest sympathy if at the base of your reasoning, at the base of your claims there is racism, pure and simple, even if masked. I mean: I understand perfectly the Arab and Palestinian hostility in particular, but I do not feel empathy. what the numbers suggest

I saw in the promotional spot of a Tv show that the population of the USA is 5% of the world population, but the prison population of the USA is 25% of the world prison population! Of course, it is not important the source because here is important how I write what I write. I do not care to have comments on the topics or my ideas, I would care to have suggestions on my English syntax, I would like help with using one verb instead of another or on avoiding a certain word. My simple text is the mirror of my simple thoughts and they are not really important: I spend much time reading newspapers online, post on social networks and I have the opportunity to improve my reasoning my approach to the world, but I write here because I hope to find a little help to improve how I write in English. However, the situation of the prison world and the justice of the USA seems frightening to me. what do the numbers suggest?
